About us

Opened in 1981 as American Karate Training Centers, American Mixed Martial Arts has been serving the Downriver community for over 40 years. Since then, we have helped thousands of students reach their goals in a safe and friendly environment.

Our philosophy is to get to know each student's needs and create a program individually tailored to meet their goals. For this reason, many students have been active members for decades.

Unlike many other surrounding Martial Art schools, we do not charge a testing fee for any rank. Students are required to earn their ranks, not be charged and given it.
